On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. May I take your mind back to a reply to question No. 7 from my right hon. Friend the Member for Brent, East (Mr. Freeson)? He asked the Secretary' of State about the existence of a memorandum issued by the DHSS seeking imformation on trade union activities of individuals employed in the National Health Service. The Secretary of State denied the existence of any such memorandum, and yet a few moments later, in reply to a further question from my hon. Friend the Member for Birmingham, Stechford (Mr. Davis) he went into great detail about an incident that had arisen, leading to the existence of the memorandum. What safeguard do Back Benchers have against deliberately misleading information from the Secretary of State?
