Part of Oral Answers to Questions — Social Services – in the House of Commons at 12:00 am on 4 December 1973.
Mr Harry Ewing
, Stirling and Falkirk Burghs
12:00,
4 December 1973
asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will introduce legislation to make it compulsory for drug companies to include on the label of proprietary medicines and tablets a warning if the product is likely to affect the ability to drive.
Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
