What I am concerned to ensure is that if we have a meeting there is a useful basis for discussion so that the meeting can be fruitful. I am keen to do all I can to encourage the provision of sheltered housing. But I think the hon. Gentleman will accept that no one, on either side of the House, would suggest that we should do this totally regardless of cost. It appears that the design selected by the local authorities in this case would produce housing which was £2,000 per house more expensive than the most optimistic assumption that we could allow. I should be glad to meet the council if it could revise the design first, so that we could have a useful discussion.
