Lords Amendment No. 13: In page 2, lines 34, leave out lines 34 to 42 and insert: () Any individual other than a disqualified person shall be qualified to be registered under this section as a dispenser of hearing aids if—(a) during the period of two years immediately preceding the commencement of this Act he has acted as a dispenser of such aids for a period of. or periods totalling, at least six months; or

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment.

This seeks to make the Measure get off the ground. One of the problems in starting a new organisation is to make sure that the impact of the legislation does not harm those already engaged in the business. This is the purpose of the Amendment.
