Mr. Alan Lee Williams:
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a statement about the Consular Convention recently signed with Poland.
The Convention marks a welcome step forward in Anglo-Polish relations. It regulates the procedure to be followed when consulates are opened, the privileges and immunities of consular officers, and their functions in protecting the interests of their nationals. As a whole it is very satisfactory from our point of view.
