asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what provision he is making to ensure adequate access by the Press to proceedings of administrative bodies set up as a result of reorganisation and amalgamation of police forces.
The position of a combined police authority does not differ in this respect from that of any other police authority.
I am most grateful for that reply. Does my right hon. Friend appreciate that it will be very welcome to the Press, which discharges the very important function of watching the public interest?
