More than 100 representations have been received from a wide range of sources. The opinions expressed are so varied that it would not be possible for me to summarise them here.
We received the Report on 5th August last year, but thereafter I invited representations from any intrested organisation or individual. It was some time before we received all these, and it was only fair to wait till we received them before we started our assessment. It may well be that I shall ask to see some of these organisations, and they may want to make personal representations to me. Therefore, it will be some time yet before we can come to the point of making decisions about future legislation in this matter. If the hon. Gentleman will put down a Question on his last point, I shall be glad to answer it.
