asked the Minister of Labour how many redundant aircraft workers have now notified employment exchanges of their need for alternative employment in the main areas affected by the cancellation of the TSR2 project; and how these numbers compare with the number of redundancies announced by the firms concerned.

According to the latest figures available, 865 workers, out of 1,693 given notice, have so far sought our Department's help at Preston, Weybridge and Woolston.
