Glasgow Education Authority proposes to start this project as soon as it is ready, which is now expected to be early next summer.
Mr Jon Rankin

I must be satisfied with at least one crumb of support. I am sorry that the commencing date is so late as next summer. I thank my right hon. Friend for his statement, but could he assure me that once the project is started it will be carried forward with the greatest possible speed?
Mr William Ross
, Kilmarnock
I can assure my hon. Friend that it could not be started any earlier, because at this stage we are in process of planning. I thank him for his measured thanks.
Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
