asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on how many farms he has approved a second small farmer scheme.
I regret that this information could not be obtained without very considerable expenditure in time and labour, but the number must be quite small.
Would not the Parliamentary Secretary agree that it is out-with the spirit of the scheme that a farm should receive a small farmer grant twice?
The only time when a second grant under the Small Farmer Scheme can be given on the same land is when it has changed occupation and a new owner is on the farm.
