asked the Prime Minister when he now expects to receive the report of the Committee considering the future of the Nuclear Power Programme.

I am informed that the Committee is likely to submit its report within a few weeks.

In point of fact the Prime Minister has already said that the Report will not be published. Can he say in what way Parliament may be informed of the difficult technical and economic arguments which are bound to be brought in by the Committee in making its recommendations to the Government?

The Government, having considered the Report, will in due course report the Government's conclusions to the House and we hope to be able to make certain proposals.
