asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will open a branch of Her Majesty's Stationery Office in Newcastle.
Her Majesty's Stationery Office already has a branch at Newcastle-upon-Tyne for the work which can efficiently and economically be undertaken there.
While in some respects the North-East leads the country, will the hon. Gentleman see that we are given an opportunity on this occasion of not lagging behind? An extension of such facilities would be greatly welcomed.
I can assure the hon. Gentleman that particularly in view of the plans of the Government for the North-East, any new possibilities will be examined in the field covered by the Question.
