Resolution reported,That. for the purposes of any Act of this Session to make provision until the end of the year nineteen hundred and sixty-two for financing any accumulated revenue deficit of the National Coal Board, it is expedient to authorise such increases in the sums which by or under any enactment are to be or may be charged on or issued out of the Consolidated Fund, raised by borrowing or paid into the Exchequer as may result from extending the power to make advances to the Board under subsection (1) of section twenty-six of the Coal Industry Nationalisation Act, 1946, to include power to advance to the Board sums required before the end of the said year for financing to an amount not exceeding fifty million pounds any accumulated deficit on revenue account.
