Alert me about debates like this

Mr. H. Wilson:

asked the Prime Minister what request he has received from the Canadian Government for a copy of the statement made by the Lord Privy Seal to members of the European Economic Community on the subject of Great Britain's entry into the Common Market; and what reply he has given.

I have nothing to add to what the House has been told in answer to Questions and, in particular, to the Answer given by my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal yesterday.

Mr. H. Wilson:

This Question was put down before yesterday's exchanges and before the House received the information which it got over the weekend. To remove all doubt, will the Prime Minister say whether it is the case that until last Thursday—this point was not dealt with by the Lord Privy Seal yesterday—the Government were still maintaining their refusal to give this document to the Canadian Government?

Yes, Sir. Until it had been agreed that it should be widely circulated, that was the position. I think that the position was made very clear by my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal yesterday, and I have little to add today.
