None, Sir. These proposals were submitted by the Tanganyika African National Union to the Post-Elections Committee and to the Tanganyika Government and are still being considered.

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that these proposals are backed by all the Elected Members of all races? Will he bear in mind that the racial composition of Tanganyika is very similar to that of Nyasaland, and that Tanganyika is setting an example in building up a really multi-racial family and that it deserves every possible encouragement as quickly as possible from the Government?

I hope the hon. Gentleman will not forget that I have also been responsible for Tanganyikan affairs during the last five years.
