asked the Minister of Education if he will state the number of Commonwealth, colonial and foreign students, respectively, now attending technical and other colleges for which the Essex County Council is responsible; and, approximately, what proportion of all students those categories represent.

Two hundred and twenty-eight, or 9 per cent. of all full-time students in technical colleges in Essex come from overseas. Eighty-nine are from the independent countries of the Commonwealth, 65 from Colonial Territories, and 74 from other countries.
