Oral Answers to Questions — Education – in the House of Commons at 12:00 am on 23 April 1959.
asked the Minister of Education what criteria he has adopted for the selection of the Teachers' Panel of the Burnham Committee.
Adequate representation of all categories of teachers in the various types of schools with which the Committee are concerned.
Is not that a general kind of criterion? Could not the Minister be a little more specific so that those associations, some of whom feel that they should be represented and others who feel that they should not, can clearly understand the principles behind selection?
If the hon. Lady were a little more specific about the associations which she has in mind, it would help me to be more specific.
