asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many miles of trunk road will be laid down under the present road programme.
Since the end of 1954 about 90 miles of new trunk road have been completed. It is expected that about 180 miles will be finished in the next two years. In addition, preparatory work is going ahead on some 840 miles.
