asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he is now able to announce the date upon which the construction of a second carriageway of the trunk road A.40 over the Bucks-Middlesex border will start.

Preparatory work on a second carriageway for trunk road A.40 near Denham is well under way. Construction should start before the end of this year.
