asked the President of the Board of Trade how many of the 1,461 applications for industrial trading certificates during the six months ending 31st October were for sites in Wales; how many of the twenty-five rejected were in respect of sites in Wales; and how many rejected were in London and the Midlands, respectively.

There were fifty applications for sites in Wales and none was rejected. Sixteen were rejected in the London area and four in the Midlands.
