One matter which has not been mentioned by the right hon. Gentleman, but which has happened in the last few years, is that, in the last five years, as a direct result of their successful efforts, farmers have suffered an underrecoupment of £135 million, and in the last three years their earnings have dropped in money values by 8 per cent. while those of other people have gone up by 25 per cent.
