All these cases have been reported in the Press. There were three occasions on which the Egyptians fired on allied forward troops. In one case the fire was not returned. In the others minimum firing was used for self-defence. These masters were reported immediately to the United Nations.

There were no casualties on our side, and as far as I know there was none on the other.
Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
