asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a further statement in respect of the proceedings of the Disarmament Sub-Commission.

I have nothing to add to the statement made by my right hon. and learned Friend on 16th April.

But does the Minister realise that quite a number of hon. Members are carefully watching the progress of this Commission, and would like to have further information about its possible progress up to date?

Only one meeting has since been held, owing to the visit of the Russian leaders to this country, and that was on the day when my right hon. and learned Friend made his statement. The House, of course, will be kept informed of the progress as and when this is possible according to the rules of the Sub-Committee.
