No, Sir. Her Majesty's Government have no intention of departing from the established tradition in this country under which the trade union movement is left to manage its own affairs to the fullest possible extent without Government interference. I am advised that the disadvantages of my hon. Friend's proposal would greatly outweigh any advantages.
