This deals with the position up to the introduction of the Bill. Of course, when I said "retrospective action" I meant that one could not job back to the date of the General Election, or something like that. We must take a line—one must always do that in legislation—and we take the line that the people not acquired today will get the six months, but the people who have been acquired will have to be dealt with by our legislation, which will be discussed by the House. I think that is what the hon. Gentleman had in mind, and I hope that I have made the position quite clear.
