asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will now make a further statement on the refusal of certain manufacturers of model aircraft accessories to charge Purchase Tax on goods sold to the public, under the provisions of the Finance Act, 1948.

Is my hon. Friend aware that this unreasonably long delay is most unfair to firms which are obeying the law?

We have been very anxious to minimise the delay, but it was due to the difficulty in obtaining the information necessary to bring the matter into court.
