asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the present position of the Anglo-Guatemalan dispute over British Honduras; and what is the prospect of an early agreement.

Mr. McNeil:

I fear that there seems little prospect of an early agreement in this matter. His Majesty's Government remain willing to allow the dispute to be settled by the International Court of Justice, whom they specially empowered to settle any and all claims concerning British Honduras over three years ago. This is the obvious way in which a dispute of this kind should be settled.
