I beg to move, in line 35, to leave out "make an annual," and to insert: as soon as possible after the end of each financial year of the Corporation make a full. This Amendment is designed to make good an undertaking I gave the right hon. Member for West Bristol (Mr. Stanley) to use some such words as: the annual report shall be full and prompt. The words proposed in the Amendment are thought by the Parliamentary counsel to be the most suitable, and I hope they meet the point raised by the right hon. Member for West Bristol.

We on this side of the House are extremely obliged to the right hon. Gentleman for this Amendment. In Committee, he made it clear that his intentions in regard to this matter were the same as our desires, and I think the words now chosen are better not only than those in the original Bill but, in order to carry out our intentions, than the words we put down.

Amendment agreed to.

Further Amendment made: In line 37, leave out "the preceding" and insert "that."—[Mr. Strachey.]
