Mr. Vane:

asked the Secretary of State for War approximately how many motor-transport vehicles, capable of further service, are still parked along autobahnen and in similar parks in Germany; whether they will be disposed of before the winter; and what is the approximate number of Service and civilian personnel now employed on guard duties, repair service, and general administration of these vehicles respectively.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
