The c.i.f. value of imports of jewellery made of non-precious metals and also of beads made of imitation stones, artificial pearls, etc., from January, 1946, to June, 1947, amounted to £366,000. Imports were mainly from Czechoslovakia (£170,000), France (£64,000) and the United States (£63,000). It is not possible to state the expenditure in terms of dollars.
