Apart from Egypt, the only British troops in North Africa are stationed in Cyrenaica and Tripolitania. It would be contrary to practice to give the number of these troops. They are being reduced in proportion to the general run down of the army.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
