Mr William Field

12:00,
11 February 1947
asked the Secretary of State for War how many officers and other ranks were court-martialled for offences involving money in the West African Colonies during 1941–46.
Mr Frederick Bellenger
, Bassetlaw
I regret that the information asked for is not available in my Department.
Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
