asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what progress had been made at the end of 1946 towards the expenditure of £3,272,350 shown under the Civil Estimates as being required for departmental forms, circulars, pamphlets, etc., during the current financial year; and how this expenditure compares with the amount expended during a similar period in 1945.
