While neither of the Central Advisory Councils far Education appointed under Section 4 of the Education Act includes representatives of the technical colleges, the hon. Member will observe that on the English Council there is representation of industrial and scientific interests and experience. The problems associated with technical education are such that I have decided it is necesary to remit them to the consideration of committees appointed for the purpose, as, for example, the committee now sitting under the chairmanship of Lord Eustace Percy, on which the technical colleges are fully represented. In the case of Wales there are already in existence two Advisory Councils for technical education for North and South Wales respectively.
