asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he is taking on the recommendation of the Committee which reported on the L.C.C. remand homes that some machinery for easy and frequent consultation between the parties interested be set up and operated by his Department.

The preliminary talks which have taken place suggest that there will be no difficulty in making satisfactory arrangements for the purpose, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
