Mr. Astor:

asked the Minister of Information whether he will investigate the circumstances in which a newspaper has been started in London in support of the Lublin Committee in spite of the assurances given that no paper would be made available for such a purpose.

No licence has been granted for the publication of such a newspaper and no paper has been made available. The attention of the authorities administering the Control of Paper Orders has been called to the publication of one issue of a paper entitled "Democratic Poland."

Mr. Astor:

Does that mean that no further copies of this paper will be published?

I hope so, because, if a second copy is published, the editor lays himself open to proceedings.
