The labels now used in non-smoking compartments were only adopted after experiments had been made with various other types. I think they have proved reasonably effective, but I should be glad to consider any proposals which my hon. Friend may care to make. My hon. Friend will recognise that the railway staff are now working in difficult conditions. I hope he will agree that they do their best to ensure that passengers who travel in non-smoking compartments do not smoke.
