asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if, in considering amendments to the existing Workmen's Compensation Acts, he will bear in mind the unsatisfactory nature of the present provisions in regard to compensation for parents whose son may be fatally injured; and provide that prospective as well as existing dependency is made the basis for claiming compensation.
I have noted the points raised by my hon. Friend, but I cannot anticipate the Government's proposals.
Is the Home Secretary aware that the parents of a boy who was sent to the mines and was killed, are being pestered with miserable means test questions; and is not this adding insult to grievous injury?
I do not know about that case.
