asked the Secretary of State for War what is the result of his review of the rates and conditions of pensions of Boer War pensioners administered by the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.

These Boer War disability pensions which are administered by the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, will in future be assessed on the same basis as the bulk of the Boer War disability pension cases, which are administered by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Pensions. This, in effect, means that Great War disability pension rates will be given where they are more advantageous than the existing award. I am arranging for the cases to be reviewed on this basis.

May I take this opportunity of thanking my right hon. Friend for the prompt way in which he has dealt with these hard cases?
