asked the Secretary of State for India what steps are being taken to plan the future developments of India in respect of health, agriculture and industry.

These matters are under continuous consideration by the Reconstruction Committee of the Government of India under the chairmanship of Sir Ramaswami Mudaliar.

When will something be made public?

That must be a matter for the discretion of the Government of India.

Has not the right hon. Gentleman any information on the point?

Is it not impossible for the right hon. Gentleman to make any decision with regard to India until we have before us the full social service plans of the Government for this country?
