With the concurrence of other Members for the City, I have been asked to present a humble petition from 5,155 citizens of Leeds. In a sentence, their grievance is that two secondary schools were closed and the premises requisitioned and, in consequence, Leeds youth is denied necessary facilities for secondary education. They desire that the hands of the local education authority should be strengthened in restoring these facilities. And the petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
