asked the Lord President of the Council whether he will give a list of the complaints voiced in this House on 10th September last which have been considered by the Government, indicating the action taken thereon?

The Debate on Service. Pay and Allowances on 10th September ranged over the whole of a wide and complex field, and the many points raised and the suggestions made are hardly suitable for re-statement in the form of a summarised list. A number of them were set at the time by improvements announced in the course of the Debate itself by my right hon. and learned Friend, the then Lord Privy Seal; the rest have been carefully examined, and those which, in the opinion of the Government, call for remedy have been met by the list of improvements which I explained to the House a week ago.

As the Government themselves have a list before them, having regard to the fact that only five of the questions raised have so far been dealt with, would it not be convenient to all concerned to have a complete list?

One of the reasons I have given the reply I have given is that I have seen all the notes and documents and lists dealing with various points. They have been very fully considered, and if Members wish to have further explanation on points they are interested in, I will certainly do my best to see they get those explanations, if they care to approach me.
