asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been drawn to the proceedings of the British Medical Association Annual Con- ference and particularly to the statements made by medical men regarding the health conditions of war workers; and has he any information to give indicating the steps he proposes, to take to verify the causes and remedy the ills of physical and mental exhaustion alleged to be the result of excessive hours of work?

I have seen a Press report of the statement referred to, but the Conference has not made any reference to me on the matter. Should they do so, I will certainly consider what action on my part appears to be called for.

Do the right hon. Gentleman's medical advisers agree with the statements made at that conference?

I understand that is the responsibility of the Minister of Labour.
