Are we not to have a discussion on what the Government intend to do in connection with the prosecution of the war?

No. It is not the intention to have such a discussion.

Mr. Ward:

May I ask my right hon. and learned Friend, in view of the statement by the Minister of Production about the 80 days, whether he would not consider having an early statement; and does he not realise that the country demands an answer from the Government on this matter?

The Prime Minister dealt with that question on Tuesday, and I have nothing to add.

Is there nobody else who can express an opinion except the Prime Minister?

Will the right hon. and learned Gentleman remember that when he puts down a programme of Business like this, he must not be too severe on the House if hon. Members do not turn up?

It is not possible for the whole of the programme to be equally attractive.
