Has my hon. Friend noticed that my Question asked what further steps have been taken, and what results have been attained by the campaign which has gone on for a long' time now?

It is impossible at the moment to state what progress has been made, but what can be said is that every consideration has been given to the subject and that efforts are being made to secure the necessary economies.

Steps of all kinds, like consultations with different organisations, engineering employers and so on, and the setting up of committees in various districts in order to get ahead with the subject.

Has the hon. Member considered a postponement of the cessation of double summer time as a means of saving fuel?
