Sir Reginald Garry:
asked the Secretary of State for War what command Major-General F. C. Roberts, V.C., D.S.O., M.C., O.B.E., now holds in the Army; and the date on which he left his last command?
Major-General F. C. Roberts holds no command in the Army. He left his last command on 18th October, 1939.
Will my right hon. Friend say why he was removed, and when he went on to retired pay?
That would be rather a long story, so perhaps the hon. Member would discuss it with me afterwards.
