asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the shortage of nurses, special consideration will be given to releasing women who volunteer for nursing?

After consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health, I have instructed my officers that, in all the cases in which releases require their permission, women who wish to volunteer for nursing should be allowed to do so irrespective of their occupation.
