asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what steps he is taking to enforce his Order against the waste of electricity in shops displaying window lights, as many are still burning all day long in bright as well as dull weather?

Major Lloyd George:

I have just made an Order regarding the waste of fuel in general. This Order, among other things, re-enacts and extends the provisions of the Order referred to by my hon. Friend and adds provisions which will facilitate its proper enforcement.

While thanking the Minister for that reply, may I express the hope that drastic action will be taken against this wicked waste of light in shops?

Major Lloyd George:

It certainly will.
