asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the restrictive policy imposed on employment, agencies and the like, under the Essential Work Orders, it is proposed to continue the operation of these Orders after the cessation of hostilities?

These Orders will cease to have effect at the end of the war unless Parliament otherwise determines. I cannot at this date attempt to forecast the policy which Parliament will be asked to approve in this connection.
