asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is now in a position to announce when new education proposals are likely to be made; and whether, in connection with prospective proposals, his attention has been drawn to the resolution on education recently passed unanimously by the Labour Party Conference?

I informed the hon. Member on 14th May that Government plans had not reached the stage of legislation, but that constructive ideas would be welcomed. It was in this spirit that I read with interest the resolution to which he refers.
